CBQP's Thanksgiving Party ans Speacial Tribute to President Cecilia A. De Guzman
December 15, 2018 - Cooperative Bank of Quezon Province (CBQP) celebrated a Thanksgiving party with a theme “CBQP goes Bohoho” at Queen Margarette Hotel which started with an opening prayer led by Ms. Frances Katrina Dimaculangan. Ms. Rossbelle De Guzman started the fellowship song “Kwento ng Pasko” and joined by everyone.
As dear President Cecilia A. De Guzman arrived, all the male employees lined up in the aisle to welcome her and all the female employees were in front waving at her as they all sing “Salamat, Salamat President.”
Part of the program is a presentation from the different branches which is actually a tribute to her for 27 years of hardwork and dedication that has been a great contribution to what CBQP achieved throughout the years and had grown into seven branches within Quezon Province. Each branch handed a simple token as remembrance. Her grandchildren prepared a dance number which made her smile. Executive Vice-President Milagros A. Surquia and Senior Vice-President for Operations Group Evylyn E. Nadal recalled their memories with the president especially during how CBQP begins. Incoming President Gaudioso A. Lavadia left a heartfelt message which showed his deep appreciation on her being a tough leader and a good decision maker. Board of Directors (BODs) also reminisced their times working with the president and how they witnessed her commitment to the bank.
Pres. De Guzman was actually expecting a surprise but no idea at all on when and how it will be done. She was really overwhelmed at everyone’s company and contribution. She was at peace that the legacy she will leave behind will continue.
The band serenaded as everyone is having dinner. The program continued with raffle draws with SVP Nadal bagging the 1st prize, Ms. May M. Oblea took home the 2nd prize and Wilson Belo got the 3rd prize. A traditional fashion show with male & female representative from each branch made the crowd even more excited. Mr. Joseph L. Mogol, Admin. Staff - Head Office Central and Ms. Angela Faye P. Habito, Accounting Assistant - H.O. Operations were awarded as Best Male and Female Boho Look. Mr. Romnick E. Hugo got the nearest amount guessed on “How much money is in the jar?” took home the cash amount.
